Draft Mode

My draft box of posts is filling up. Over the last month I have made several attempts to write but nothing has come together. I came so close with Mary. But alas, near the end of my post I somehow managed to hit select all and delete before my mind figured out what I was doing. I must have been tired. I didn’t have the heart or energy to rewrite everything.

I thought about Jairus’ wife, the mother of the little girl who Jesus resurrected from death. But I couldn’t think of much else to say other than “yay!!!!!!” “So amazing!!!!” (Story in Luke chapter 8, Mark 5 and Matthew 9).

On the opposite end of the life and death topic. I woke up this morning thinking about all of the poor Mamas in the Christmas story who lost their babies in the Bethlehem massacre. (Story is found in Matthew chapter 2). But that was just too heavy and lead down too many rabbit trails for my mind right now.

Maybe these drafts will find their way to published or more likely I will work with something new.

In the meantime… Happy New Year!! And thank you for reading and supporting.

I would love to hear feedback on specific posts or the MOB series as a whole.

I have been finding that seeking the stories of mothers and trying to see them in new ways, is bringing the bible more to life for me. I hope that it is encouraging for you as well.

If you have a blog idea about a mother in the bible please let me know!

All the best to you and your loved ones in 2020! And in the words of John,

“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.”

‭‭3 John‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬
