Sometimes I try an experiment with food that works pretty well and there is a “eureka” light bulb moment. I do not claim that these ideas are original. They are probably online somewhere else as well.
1. Add salt to popcorn kernels before popping. One of my pet peeves is unevenly salted popcorn. For stove top popcorn I add oil and salt to the unpopped kernels and then cook and enjoy!
2. Sauté your oats before adding water.
I sauté oats with oil, salt and cinnamon before adding water. Wonderful flavour and texture!
